park culture

is so different here! today we went to the one in örebro (this is an old picture from a couple months ago... just imagine it packed with people, water in that little pool, and super-sunny with leaves on those trees!)... but it wasn't like how people go to the park in boise, to barbecue and play frisbee and all that. no, no... people here lay out in swimsuits and sunbathe! almost all of them! i told susanne you'd never see that in boise, because there are too many creeps that frequent the areas. susanne and her friends with the mother's group she's in were all prepared to lay out and hang out with their babies. i wasn't. and i didn't get to really sit and relax; instead, i got to chase charlie all around for 3 hours! in the sun! (which really isn't bad in itself, but sucks when you're thirsty and exhausted from thoroughly cleaning the house for the previous 3 hours!) the highlight of the day though, was the food. first i had some delicious hoagie-type sandwich, with avocado, brie, red peppers, hardboiled egg and red onion. and later i tried some pear-flavored ice cream, which was completely amazing and delicious!! like melon, but sweeter and more... pear-ish. it was good. if anyone happens to see any in wal-mart, let me know! x.

hey severina! tanning in parks, eh? i do that at camel's back in the summer-- are there creeps around??? i've never noticed, but maybe i should be more cognizant.

mmm pear-flavored ice cream sounds delicious right now. i've been munching on peant m&m's. not quite as refreshing, but still good.

i love reading your blog!
