right, well- nothing too interesting has happened the past few days that's worth sharing with everyone, so i figured i'd write some observations i've made while being here....
-houses all seem to be painted light yellow, light blue, or barn red.
-the H&M in marieberg is not as fun as i'd hoped. (no word yet on the örebro one)
-everyone dresses like they work at macy's.
-lots of roundabouts and very few stoplights.
-KEX chocolate bar is fabulous! (not best ever, but really good nonetheless.)
-they show all my favorite american shows.... except for the soup and rob & big. (but at least i can still watch them online!)
-i'm still good at game shows, even when they're in swedish!
-i don't feel so white trash when watching judge judy... weird.
-swedish rap is VERY catchy, and not all about bling and cars and girls and grills.
-mtv actually shows music videos!
-so far, most of the sidewalks are cobblestone-y.
-supermarkets are futuristic and amazing! (see previous posts)
-swedish babyclothes are also amazing (tess, i'm looking in your direction...)
-pear-flavored soda exists here.
-european orange fanta still is the best drink ever.
-everyone's reasonably clean/nice-looking, and i have yet to see a hobo, which can mean only one thing: no new teammates! :(
can you tell most of my discoveries are related to my daily routine? it's all i've experienced so far :( and the next couple weeks aren't looking to change things; my 10 days of 12-hour work days are more than halfway over, then i think it's 5 or so days of regular schedule, and then we're off to sälen for that ski trip, so yeah- it'll be another few weeks before i feel like i'll have a good chunk of free time to explore... (as in 'a weekend off.') hej då. x

How are the Swedish classes going? Are you getting the hang of it yet? That sucks you can't watch Rob & Big, I'll bet Anton would love it!
hi there from your floating cousins in Friday Harbor! Good to find your blog and hear you are doing well. We meant to call and wish you well before you left, but lost track of time... & then, you were gone! Do you wish you had practiced Norwegian more w/ Espen?
Have fun over there.
Brian.
